A defining film in Hong Kong genre cinema, ENCOUNTER OF THE SPOOKY KIND blended kung fu, special effects, and Chinese folklore to invent a whole new sub-genre of Asian cinema, the Jiangshi film, which only a few years later would spawn the iconic and hugely successful MR. VAMPIRE.
Sammo Hung plays Courageous Cheung, a man well known in his local village for his lack of fear. His reputation is soon put to the test after he is tricked into spending the night in a temple full of spirits, zombies, and vampires!

Und irgendwie wäre es doch toll, wenn Eureka mal Sammo-Hung-Filme rausbringen würde, von denen es nicht bereits ausgezeichnete DVDs gibt.

Die Rechte für den 2. Teil liegen bei Warner. Der Rest der Geschichte ist ja leider bekannt.

Die Qualität der UK VHS von Teil 2 ist aber zum Glück ziemlich gut.

Könnte ich mal auf DVD-R ziehen (lassen).

Vielleicht gibt es ja aber irgendwann zumindest mal eine Custom Scheibe mit dem Bild der französischen DVD und
extra gemachten englischen UT.

Wäre mal ein interessantes Projekt. Für die Leute, die es könn(t)en.
